TalOS ("we", "us", "our") operates usetalos.com and provides website development and AI-automation services for local businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can exercise your rights over it.

1. Information We Collect

Contact-form data. When you fill out a form on our site (inquiry, quote request, support), we receive your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and the message contents. This data is sent to us by email and stored in our project-management system so we can respond.

Cookies and analytics. We use first-party cookies and a privacy-preserving analytics service (see Section 3) to understand which pages are visited, how long users stay, and broad geographic patterns. This data is aggregated and not tied to your identity.

Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records basic connection metadata (IP address, browser user-agent, referring page, timestamp) for security and diagnostics. Logs are retained for 30 days and then deleted.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To respond — answering inquiries, providing quotes, delivering contracted services, and offering support.
• To improve — analyzing aggregated usage patterns to make our site and services better.
• To protect — monitoring for security threats, abuse, or unauthorized access.
• To comply — meeting legal obligations (e.g., responding to lawful subpoenas or data-protection requests).

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own advertising or marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Processors

We work with a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf. Each is contractually bound to use your data only for the purposes we specify:

• Web Hosting — our site and email are hosted on secure infrastructure (e.g., Vercel, Railway, or comparable providers). Server logs described above reside here.
• Email & Communications — inquiries submitted via our contact form are routed through our email provider and stored in our project-management tool.
• Analytics — we run a lightweight, privacy-first analytics tool (e.g., Plausible, Umami, or Fathom — cookie-free or limited-cookie). It captures page views, referrer, and browser type at an aggregate level. No personal identifiers are stored.
• Payment Processor (if applicable) — when you pay for services, your payment is handled directly by a PCI-compliant processor. We never see or store your full card details.

4. Cookies

Our site uses minimal cookies. The analytics tool may set a first-party cookie to distinguish unique visitors (this is anonymized and contains no personal data). You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them will not affect your ability to use the site, though aggregate analytics may be less accurate.

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or third-party marketing cookies.

5. Data Retention

We retain contact-form submissions and related correspondence for the duration of the client relationship plus 12 months, unless a longer retention is required by law. Server logs are kept for 30 days. Aggregate analytics data is kept indefinitely but cannot be linked back to you.

6. How to Exercise Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct — ask us to update inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Delete — request that we erase your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.
• Object / Restrict — object to certain processing or ask us to limit how we use your data.
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, simply email bailey@usetalos.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask for proof of identity before fulfilling your request.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information — encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls on our tools, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, but we strive to protect your data to the best of our ability.

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are directed at businesses and are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the "Effective" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated directly to active clients via email.
